As it has already been announced, Donald and Melania Trump will not be attending Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding. It had been decided a while ago that it's not necessary to invite political leaders.
The President and his First Lady could've been offended, but they're actually in a good company. Barack and Michelle Obama, who are actually good friends with Prince Harry, didn't receive their save-the-date card either.
Nevertheless, it looks like the Trump family will still be leaving their mark on Harry and Meghan's special day.
Wedding gift from the president
For their wedding, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle asked their guests to donate to one of their chosen charities, instead of buying a traditional wedding gift.
It's well known that Harry is involved in many social organizations as the Head of the Commonwealth Trust. So, it's not surprising he rejected the idea of material presents in favor of his wedding guests contributing to important causes.
There are 7 different charities on Harry and Meghan's list, including those focused on homelessness and conservation, as well as Children's HIV Association.
Since this is such a noble choice of a wedding gift, Donald and Melania Trump decided to donate to one of the chosen organizations. The amount of a contribution and which charity will be supported by Trumps weren't disclosed.
The royal family will, however, welcome President Trump very soon, as he's set for an official visit with the Queen in July.
