A series of controversial interviews given by the members of Meghan Markle's family ahead and after the royal wedding seems to be still haunting the duchess.

Her father, Thomas Markle Sr., didn't appear to walk Meghan down the aisle during her special day. He then gave a less then successful interview several weeks after explaining the situation and revealing personal conversations he had with her daughter's husband.

Although Prince Harry addressed the media asking everyone to stop the "abuse" on his girlfriend when the couple first became public, some personas close to the royal family still feel like their entitled to make some unflattering remarks.

Denouncing Meghan and her family

Prince Charles' friend, Nicky Haslam, went off on a tangent in an interview with Daily Mail and didn't hold back when speaking about the Markle family.

In his opinion, the royal family was lucky that the Markles were unable to attend the wedding, he said:

They're frightfully common. It would have been awful if that huge lump [Meghan's father] had been there.

Haslam alleges that "the royals probably don't quite know how to deal" with Meghan's relatives. He did, however, said the duchess' mother, Doria Ragland, is different and did belong at the wedding after all.

78-year-old Nicky also decided to share his thoughts on Meghan's wedding dress, which he wasn't a fan of:

I didn't very much like her dress — it didn't fit, among other things. It should have been made of thinner stuff, it seemed to be made of concrete.

Looks like Haslam didn't get the memo from Prince Harry regarding being nice to Meghan. We imagine the royal family won't be pleased with his remarks.

Public reactions

People weren't happy with Nicky Haslam's interview, as they think he's making the royal family look bad by associating with them.

What are your thoughts on Nicky's comments?
