TV's Main Hottie Shemar Moore Says He's Ready "To Be A Family Man" And Reveals Why He Left 'Criminal Minds'

Shemar Moore is most known for his role as Derek Morgan in popular TV series Criminal Minds. Fans of the show were heartbroken to hear about their favorite character leaving just as much as the actor himself didn't know what was waiting for him next.


Moore revealed that he left Criminal Minds because he was ready to take a leap towards something bigger. He was scared doing it, but had faith that something worthy will come along.

Luckily for the 48-year-old heartthrob, he found his next lead role in S.W.A.T., which was already renewed for the second season after its first year run.

Having conquered the professional arena, Shemar is looking to enrich his personal life next.

Bachelor days are over

Despite his striking good looks and multiple girlfriends over the years, Moore has never been married and doesn't have kids. Now, he's finally ready to change it.

I want to be a family man. I want to be a father, I want to have a partner in crime, a woman to share [my life] with.

Looks like the former model is finally ready to settle down, but he won't abandon his acting career. Shemar added that his constant focus on career delayed him starting a family, but now he knows he's capable of combining the two.
