Last week, Samantha Markle arrived in London for the first time in an effort to reconcile with her royal sister, Meghan Markle, and convey a message considering her father's health to the public, hoping it would finally get a response from the Duchess.
All attempts to reach Meghan at Kensington Palace were denied, so Samantha's mission hasn't been successful. However, it seems that the sneaky half-sister had another agenda in mind.
A tell-all book, but with good intentions?
Samantha Markle sat down with Channel 5's Jeremy Vine in order to explain her recent behavior on Twitter and to discuss her upcoming tell-all book about the Duchess of Sussex and the entire Markle family.
Meghan's half-sister announced her plans about writing a book back in May, but now, the publication is definitely happening. Samantha also confirmed the controversial title – The Diary Of Princess Pushy’s Sister – which got a lot of heat from the public for its not-so-subtle jab at the Duchess.
Markle explained that the title was meant to be ironic, and she had no intent to insult Meghan with it:
The title of my book was meant to make a mockery of social labels. Because she has been coined 'the Princess Pushy' – those are not my words – and so, when I wrote this book, I thought it would be clever.
Despite claiming the book's content will be "opposite the title," it's hard to imagine Samantha holding off on throwing shady information about Meghan, considering how unkind the half-sister has been to the Duchess and the royal family on Twitter.
Upon the announcement of the book, Samantha revealed she's been in talks with Hollywood studios about turning her tell-all memoir into a movie or TV mini-series. So, if The Diary Of Princess Pushy’s Sister is meant to be Markle's olive branch, why does it feel like a blatant cash grab? Tell us what are your thoughts on the upcoming book in the comments.
