Roseanne Barr's exit from ABC is one of Hollywood's most spectacular self-destruction stories in recent history.
Fall from grace
After she left the show following her racist tweet in which she insinuated that Valerie Jarett, an African American government official, was ape-like, ABC canceled her show, Roseanne.
But, they finally agreed to bring it back on air by popular request – on the condition that Barr would no longer be on the show.
Enough is enough
Amid rising accusation that they made a rash decision to shelve Roseanne and its star actress, the network is finally addressing the sack.
Channing Dungey, president of ABC, told Deadline that they'd had a lot of instances where the actress had been offensive, but this time they decided "enough is enough."

Roseanne was sorry. She felt horrible. I believe her story, she didn’t know VJ was black. You let someone apologize and move on with the show. Could of been a teachable moment. The public WILL forgive. But hey, dump your mega hit.— Jessica Demochet (@JDemochet) August 8, 2018

Despite the network's clear stance, Barr's supporters continue in their believe that this was an overreaction. A few even claim this recent 'opening up' is a cheap move to drum up support for their spin-off show. Thoughts?
