Eric Christian Olsen’s character Marty Deeks on NCIS: Los Angeles is known for his lively and funny personality. The actor seems to have found a way to apply this humor in real life and marriage to his wife, actress Sarah Wright Olsen.
Life as an actor
Prior to his fame from his role in NCIS: Los Angeles, Olsen starred in several feature films. His television credits include roles in Tru Calling and The Loop, as well as appearances in Brothers and Sisters, ER, 24 and Community.
As an actress, Sarah went on to have roles as Millicent Gergich on NBC’s Parks and Recreation and American Made. In late 2018, she launched a line of organic skin care called Bāeo Baby.
Their love story
The couple met in 2006 on the set of the Fox sitcom, The Loop. They dated for about five years before getting engaged in Mexico, 2011, according to People.
The actor and his wife got married in June 2012 near Jackson Hole, Wyoming, with Sarah Wright announcing her second pregnancy in February.
Olsen and Sarah have shown off their love on social media. When the actor signed a deal with CBS to produce two shows, his beloved congratulated him on Instagram, saying:
So this is where you have been? I was convinced you took up pottery or you were chasing your bowling league dreams.
The cute couple is also very serious about their love for each other despite their incredible sense of humor. After the birth of their second child, Olsen talked about how he admired his wife’s strength. He said:
I am in awe of this woman; somehow navigating the most difficult moments with equal parts passion, fearlessness, and all-encompassing love. I suspect she may be magic.
The couple welcomed their son, Wyatt Oliver Olsen, in 2013 and daughter, Esmé Olivia Olsen, in 2016.
To celebrate the arrival of his daughter, Olsen wrote:
I remember reading that how you approach birth is intimately connected with how you approach life, and after watching Sarah go through the process twice it’s undeniably true. Birth is like a whirlwind microcosm of the rest of the journey that is life.
We are so happy for them!
