The Duke of Cambridge made an appearance at a reception for the Royal Marsden Trust at Buckingham Palace on Thursday. He was awarding a prestigious Order of the Companion award to a British author Lady Antonia Fraser.

Lady Antonia, 85, is a well-known writer famous for her biographies, novels, and history writing.
At that time, the author and the royal had a little chat during which the duke revealed an interesting detail about his children. As it turned out, 4-year-old Prince George and 3-year-old Princess Charlotte are both avid readers.
Lady Antonia said Prince William was interested to know whether she was always into history as a child and stated that his children are “always reading.” She said:
He asked me whether I'd always been interested in history as a child and so I said: 'Yes, I used to write history as a child, so look out', meaning your (William's) own children. And he said his own children are always reading books. He was very sweet and charming, as a father.
The dad-of-three also jokingly said his father, Prince Charles, used to scold him for not reading enough history. We can be quite certain William is not scolding his kids for the same reason. But he is definitely encouraging them to expand their minds through books, as any parent would do.
Previously, the royal revealed that Princess Charlotte loves dancing, and Prince George enjoys football. His kids have quite wide interests, which is very admirable.
