The prince spent two months working in Lesotho as part of a year off after school. During his gap year in Southern Africa, Harry befriended then four-year-old orphan Mutsu Potsane. They were introduced when the prince visited Mants’ase Children’s Home for orphans more than 10 years ago. Their friendship has blossomed, and the pair kept in touch ever since.

In 2006, the new Duke of Sussex co-founded a charity Sentebale. It works to fight the spread of HIV. The royal founded the organization with Lesotho's Prince Seeiso, and the duo of princes joined their forces to combat HIV. In the same year, Harry returned to the orphanage.

The pair reunited again in 2015 when the royal attended the official opening of a new children's center created by Sentebale. Harry was seen scooping in a hug then 15-year-old Mutsu off the ground. They chatted together about the past and the future.

And on Saturday, the Duke of Sussex met 18-year-old teenager Mutsu, who was one of the first guests to congratulate him on his wedding.
