Expert Reveals Meghan Markle 'Out-Royaled' Duchess Kate At A Recent Event

Just a few months ago, Meghan Markle tied the knot with Prince Harry. Kate Middleton wedded Prince William in 2011. Despite having less experience at ‘being a royal’ and performing royal duties, Meghan has already out-royaled Kate, thinks a body language expert.

The new Duchess of Sussex is like a breath of fresh air for the royal family. Bio-racial, outspokenly feminist - she is very different from other royal brides. She was also the oldest royal bride.

Meghan massively affected the British royals, making history in many ways. And, according to a body language expert, she is already beating her sister-in-law Kate, when it comes to her performance at some public appearances.

Judi James analyzed both royal ladies at their first joint public outing at the Royal Foundation Forum in February. She said:

When the two women appeared on stage together to promote their charity this mirroring was intense. Meghan was 'twinning' herself to Kate by using the same, almost balletic palm-up hand in her lap while the other hand came up in a face-concealing cut-off as both women shared a giggle over a comment. Both sets of hands fell into a hand clasp gesture as they listened to Harry talking.

How did the Duchess of Sussex manage to “out-royal” Kate Middleton?

Judi explained:

In some ways Meghan 'out-royaled' Kate by crossing her legs at the ankle in the demure style of the older royals while Kate sat using a more contemporary leg cross. Both women had their legs crossed towards one another though, which was a subtle signal of bonding.
