Royal Snubbing? Meghan Markle Didn’t Stand On The Same Balcony With The Royal Family On Remembrance Day, But Why?
On Sunday, the royal family took part in the Remembrance Day commemorations in London. The Duchess of Cornwall, the Duchess of Sussex, and the Duchess of Cambridge joined the Queen and Frau Elke Büdenbender to watch the Service.

The royal ladies appeared on the balcony of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office to observe the solemn proceedings of honoring people who lost their lives in World War I. However, whilst the Queen, Duchess Kate and Duchess Camilla stood together, Meghan watched the ceremony from another balcony.
Was it a royal snubbing?
The first thing that comes to mind when spotting the Duchess of Sussex separate from the other royal ladies is the fact that she is still being treated as an outsider. But the reason for her 'exile' might be much simpler than we think.
Each window has a very small balcony, and fitting even three people in there is quite a challenge, so there was simply no room for another royal family member.
Moreover, there is a royal 'pecking order', according to which Prince William, as an older brother, would go first with his wife. For that reason, during Trooping the Colour in June, Meghan and Harry stood behind Kate and William on the palace balcony.
Despite not standing with the other ladies, Meghan had a very good position. She watched the ceremony with the wife of the German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Elke Büdenbender.
Very strong diplomatic position to put the Duchess of Sussex in, the Queen entrusts her with it and that shows Meghan will most likely be used more on a global scale.— 👸🏾 What Meghan wants, Meghan gets 👸🏾 (@heytheretanya) November 11, 2018
It might have been nice to include The Duchess of Sussex rather than exclude her from the family. As a new member of the family, it would have made more sense to have Camilla accompany the President’s wife.— Denise Honor (@DeniseHonor) November 11, 2018
Hence, there is no reason for Meghan’s fans to worry – it’s just how the royal family operates.
