Curious discovery

One day, a Californian couple decided they are not happy with their bathroom and agreed that it’s time for changes. When Alex and Jess Monney started renovating the room, they had no idea what they were about to find.

The couple discovered a message, which was written by the home’s previous owners. They also included a lovely photo of themselves. The message said:

We remodeled this bathroom summer 1995. If you're reading this, that means you're remodeling the bathroom again. What's wrong with the way we did it?!?!?

Jose and Alex were left very surprised and shared their find on social media. The tweet, which unfortunately has since been deleted, quickly became viral, collecting more than 21,000 retweets and lots of comments.

After the discovery, the Monneys told NBC Bay Area:

Thank you for the note. It gave us a lot of smiles. It brought a lot of laughter to our life. Your bathroom was great. Sorry, for messing with it.

This is how the before and after looks.

The bathroom remake is still on the tongue, or rather on the fingertips, of social media users. Even actress and comedian Sarah Silverman talked about the story. Meanwhile, the couple plans to continue the tradition and leave the message of their own.
