George Clooney Opens Up About How Fatherhood Changed His Life Once And For All

The times when George Clooney was a confirmed bachelor are long gone. And now, it’s even hard to remember how it was when he had no partner in life. Back then, he was constantly asked whether he was going to marry, especially after his divorce with an actress Talia Balsam, in 1993.

At that time, people didn’t even expect him to announce his engagement, and it happened out-of-the-blue! When he met a stunning British lawyer, she just blew his mind away! The smart and class woman turned Clooney’s world upside down, and they announced their engagement!

Then, there was another major change – his fatherhood. It seemed to change Clooney’s life even more than his marriage, and that’s quite obvious. The father of two admits he isn’t afraid of dirty work, and changing diapers doesn’t make him scared. He is used to everything, and there’s nothing the actor can’t do for his kids. George is one of those fathers who think like this:

The first thing you think is, 'I hope I don't screw this up'. You are really responsible for two kids. I want them to be happy. I want them to have a sense of humor. I want them to be interested in things. I want them to be compassionate about other people's plights. Because that's the thing, you know? You have to have some sort of empathy.

Amal, in her turn, before getting to know George, didn’t think she was a family type. She once admitted to Vogue, a family might not be in the cards for her. But life is an unexpected thing, and when she met George, everything changed. This is how she describes their relationship:

It felt like the most natural thing in the world. Before that experience, I always hoped there could be love that was overwhelming and didn’t require any weighing or decision-making.

All in all, it happened for them! And those who haven’t met their love yet have another proof losing hope is the last thing to do.
