Breaking The Royal Mold! Meghan And Harry Invited Gospel Singers To Perform At Their Modern Wedding
On May 19, millions of royal fans from all over the world tuned in to watch the wedding between Prince Harry and his American beauty – Meghan Markle. Although the two married in an Anglican service, the nuptials also had an American flavor.
The ceremony mixed classical music by Shubert and Bach, prayers, and a gospel choir. And the choice of performers and compositions has definitely caused a stir among traditionalists.
The happy couple invited Karen Gibson and The Kingdom Choir to their wedding. This choir is made up of British artists who have been performing for over 20 years.

The gospel singing talents performed the soul classics – Stand by Me by Ben E King. Although it’s a love song, some think it might also symbolize the royals’ transition into a more modern, inclusive family. After all, Duchess Meghan is the first mixed race woman to be married into the royal family.
The emotional and breathtaking performance moved royal watchers who rushed to social media platforms to react to it. And we think it was a great song choice too!
I just loved the church ceremony; the preacher from the US, the gospel singers, many things off of the protocol from the stiff upperlip! Diana can be proud: Harry does exactly what she always stood for! Wishing him and Meghan a happy life together!! 🤴💖👸— Jess (@JessvanVliet) May 20, 2018
Sounds like the usual utter bollocks from @leejasper to me. Looks more like Meghan and Harry went for a black American influence including Gospel singers. Nothing wrong with that, their choice.— The Saint (@PaulReadST) May 19, 2018
Great that Prince Harry and Meghan ‘get Gospel’ having chosen a Gospel Choir at their wedding! Hope the Royal Couple watch ‘Gosp-Ability’ our specially composed Gospel Choir from Award winning singer/songwriter Sandra Godley on BBC1, Thursday the 17th of May at Windsor GuildHall pic.twitter.com/CVLMBbnlrV— tyrone hutchinson (@juniorhutchins) April 24, 2018

My style comment is Harry looked a scruff with his beard but right on,
Preacher Curry had a great message of love but went on too long in the circumstances
Love the gospel singers.God bless the happy loving couple🙏🏼
