The Queen’s favorite event of the year, Royal Ascot, is finally taking place, and the monarch couldn’t be any happier. On the first day of horseracing, the 92-year-old made heads turn with her bright and glamorous outfit. Elizabeth II arrived in yellow, brightening up the gray skies.
What does she have in store for next Royal Ascot days?
For the second day, the monarch chose a less eye-catchy look. She stepped into the parade ring in powder blue, accessorizing her outfit with a gorgeous diamond brooch and a hat with pink peonies on it.
The Queen looked to be in excellent spirits, as she was riding in the traditional carriage procession together with other family members. In the royal box, Elizabeth II was joined by more royals, including her son, Prince Charles, and her daughter-in-law, Duchess Camilla.
The wife of Prince of Wales opted for an eye-catching green coat and completed her look with a striking white hat. It’s not the first time she was wearing this outfit, proving that even royals tend to recycle their old clothes.
The folks on the Internet were delighted to see the picture-perfect Queen. Some even said that the monarch looked younger than her son and daughter-in law.
I look at The Queen and I do not see anything old. Now I look at the Dukes of Cornwall and see the smell of old age.😑— Cris.Vianna (@CrisVianna_1) June 20, 2018
It's wonderful to see the privileged do what the privileged do so well, and that's not having to worry about paying the Mortgage or rent, or if they still have a job at the end of the week. Bless!— Ali Albrecht (@AliAlbrecht5) June 20, 2018
HRH Prince Charles looks quite ruddy and Savile Row for the outing? What?— Eugéne van der Watt (@eugene_44_vdw) June 20, 2018
