Warner Bros. Television, together with CBS and Chuck Lorre Productions, have recently released a joint statement. In it, they announced that the comedy show will end its run in May 2019.

Even though it will have almost 280 episodes, it still feels not enough, doesn't it?

We . . . are extremely appreciative of the show’s success and aim to deliver a final season, and series finale, that will bring ‘The Big Bang Theory’ to an epic creative close.

The Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated series hit screens back in 2007, won multiple awards, and became the longest-running multicamera TV show. It goes without saying that it also has thousands of fans and viewers from all over the world who were really upset to hear the sad news.

Here are just some of the reactions shared on Twitter

We’re going to miss every character, and we wish the actors success in their new projects!
