'My 600-Lb Life' Star Lisa Fleming Dies At 50: "Her Body Was Tired And Her Body Just Gave Out"
The fans of TLC’s My 600-Lb Life might remember Lisa Fleming, a formerly 704-lb woman who was featured on the show in February 2018. Unfortunately, her daughter shared a heartfelt Facebook post revealing that her mom had died.
As she revealed to TMZ, Fleming’s death had nothing to do with her morbid obesity. The woman had already lost 200 lb after undergoing weight loss surgery and appearing on the show. More than that, she was finally able to stand on her own, something she couldn’t do for a long time.
So what took her life?
Lisa’s daughter also said her mom had various health issues before she even appeared on the show. She added:
At the end, she was sick and her body was tired, and her body just gave out.
Fleming’s struggles with weight began when she was a child, which only got worse when her parents divorced. Over the course of time, she became bedridden and couldn’t take care of herself anymore. But the turning point for her was the moment she found maggots in her skin folds. That’s when she went to the show and got rid of at least 200 lb.
Condolences to the family!
