Date June 29, 2018

Joe Mantegna is widely known for his roles in the iconic movie The Godfather: Part III and long-running hit series Criminal Minds. But successful career is not the only thing he can boast about.

Just recently, the 70-year-old has added another luxurious property to his residential portfolio. The actor purchased a $1.3 million Spanish bungalow in the Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles.

What do we know about the lavish Hollywood home?

Built in the 1920s, the 1,700-sequare-feet bungalow is rumored to have belonged to such celebrities like The Great Gatsby actress Kathryn Leigh Scott and movie pioneer Jack Warner, among others.

What can be found inside? A master suite on the upper floor with a house-wide balcony and a view of the private backyard. The historic bungalow also has a spacious dining room, a kitchen with rustic cabinetry, and a big living room with a corner fireplace.

But this is not the only property Mantegna owns. In 2016, he quietly acquired a three-story beachfront house in Oxnard, Los Angeles, for almost $5 million. Besides, the producer also purchased at least half a dozen modest residential properties in California as investments.

While Joe’s life seems perfect, it is not, in fact, true.

Not long ago, Mantegna revealed the struggle of learning that his older daughter, Mia, is autistic. When the girl was diagnosed back in 1990, most people didn’t know what the diagnose meant.

Joe and his wife, Arlene, decided not to treat Mia differently. Instead, they always traveled together and even sent the daughter to the first grade. Now, she is a bright woman who works at a restaurant and helps her parents with bookkeeping.
