What Are The Relations Between Donald And Melania Trump? Their Latest Body Language Speaks Volumes

It’s the festive season and the U.S. first couple couldn’t be any busier, as they have a lot of holiday rituals to carry out.
In fact, Melania and Donald Trump already started preparing for Christmas! A few days ago, the FLOTUS took to Twitter to gladly share that they already got a Christmas tree, and we cannot wait to see how Mrs. Trump will decorate it.
The presidential couple also engaged in the Pardoning of Turkey before Thanksgiving. But while some people focused on discussing the first lady’s looks during these events, others were quick to analyze what Donald and Melania’s body language says about their preparation and relationship.
The @WhiteHouse is getting ready for the Christmas season! Thank you to the Smith Family & the National Christmas Tree Association for providing this year's tree. And to our @NatlParkService for their hard work in trimming the tree for the Blue Room. pic.twitter.com/jiyYBwCeXO— Melania Trump (@FLOTUS) November 19, 2018
Dealing with it ‘business-like’
Apparently, the holiday season is not an excuse for the Trumps to more festive. According to body language expert Judi James, the U.S. leader still prefers to do presidential posturing instead of posing in a more relaxed way, being "businesslike" with his wife:
Trump's 'hailing' wave here is businesslike rather than seasonal, with the hand raised high suggesting power while the flattened palm forms a 'stop' gesture that seems to be holding back all the critics.
Donald also seems to take a lead with Melania. In many pictures, he is seen in a stand-alone pose, while the first lady is standing behind him or even a pace away.
This still doesn’t mean the couple didn’t want to appear a bit warmer, as their red tie and cape say otherwise. Besides, Mrs. Trump is often holding her husband’s hand or even stroking his back, which is a ‘family-looking pose’:
Although he does hold his wife's hand in a reasonably rare PDA the clasp is closer to Melania's torso than his, hinting that she might have been the one keener to create proximity.
Having some family time
Since Thanksgiving and Christmas are a family season, we were glad to spot a member we haven’t seen since summer – Barron Trump. Donald’s youngest son joined his parents on their way to Mar-a-Lago.
In his overcoat and suit jacket, he definitely looks like his dad. What do you think?
