Roseanne Barr Is Mad People Support James Gunn's Pedophile Jokes While Critisizing Her For A Racist Tweet

Date July 25, 2018

Recently, Disney Studios has fired Guardians of the Galaxy director, James Gunn. The reason for that? As it turns out, he made a few Twitter jokes on pedophilia and rape, from 2008 to 2012.

The director took the responsibility for his actions, saying that he understands the business decision, regrets writing those tweets nearly a decade ago, and hopes to become a better human being:

Even these many years later, I take full responsibility for the way I conducted myself then. All I can do now, beyond offering my sincere and heartfelt regret, is to be the best human being I can be.

While there were many people who criticized Gunn for his tweets, many defended him and even wrote a petition to re-hire the director. And Roseanne Barr didn’t like such support.

Why so?

If you don’t remember, the actress was fired by ABC earlier this year because of a racist comment she made about Valerie Jarett, the former adviser of Obama. But while Gunn receives support from many people, Barr was attacked for her words.

This is what she says about the situation

Dozens of people rushed to the Twitter comment section to share their opinions. Some supported Gunn because he apologized for what was done many years ago. Others said that the director didn’t deserve the support he received.

Who is right and who is wrong?
