Alex Trebek’s grown-up son

It’s hard to find a person who hasn't heard about iconic TV personality Alex Trebek. Alex has stolen fans’ hearts since he became the host of Jeopardy! in 1984.

The show still beats all television ratings. Trebek has even signed a contract to run Jeopardy! until 2020. But we personally hope he will host the show much longer.

Alex and his second wife, Jean Currivan, have two children together: son, Matthew, and daughter, Emily. Matthew has grown up to become a real heartthrob.

The young man inherited not just his famous father’s handsome looks, but his natural charm and exceptional charisma, too.

Successful restaurateur

Unlike his father, Matthew chose another career for himself outside the television industry. The young man is a successful restaurateur.

Jeopardy! host recalled the moment when his son told him about his dream to own his restaurant:

It was a surprise when he came to us and said he wanted to open a restaurant. I told him, I will support you.

Trebek gave his son his total support and even helped him financially when Matthew just started his business. Today, the young man is the owner of a successful and popular restaurant, Oso in Manhattan.

Alex Trebek is a very generous person when it comes to his kids. The star reportedly presented his son with a house in Harlem which cost $1.92 million. Awesome gift, isn’t it?

No doubt, Alex Trebek loves his children a lot. But the best thing is that he teaches them to follow their dreams and supports them in all their endeavors. The Jeopardy! host can be proud of his family, just like they are proud of him.
