Burt Reynolds' Ex-Wife Loni And Their Adopted Son Got Very Emotional During The Private Funeral Service

Friends and family continue to pay tributes in memory of the late Hollywood legend, Burt Reynolds. His ex-wife, Loni Anderson, and their son attended the private memorial service to say the final goodbye to the iconic actor.

Burt Reynolds’ ex-wife and son pay tribute to the late actor

On August 6, the Hollywood icon Burt Reynolds has died from a cardiac arrest at the age of 82.

The award-winning actor stole fans’ hearts by his great roles in Smokey and the Bandit, Boogie Nights, Deliverance, and hit TV show Evening Shade.

On Thursday, a private funeral service took place in Florida to honor the memory of Burt Reynolds. The service was attended by about 80 guests and featured speeches from people close to the late actor. Burt’s ex-wife, Loni Anderson, and their adopted son, Quinton, were there too.

Reynolds and Anderson met in 1981 and got married 7 years later. “I am a very lucky man,” that’s how Reynolds described his marriage life.

When the couple announced their split in 1994, the news came as a surprise for the pair’s fans. Burt and Loni stated “irresistible differences” as a cause for their separation.

Emotional speech

Nevertheless, Loni couldn’t miss the memorial service. Anderson got very emotional delivering her farewell speech.

She said:

Quinton and I are extremely touched by the tremendous outpouring of love and support from friends and family throughout the world. Burt was a big part of my life for twelve years and Quinton's father for thirty years. We will miss him and his great laugh.

Burt Reynolds was a great actor, but what’s more important he was so much loved by his family. He will always live in their thoughts and prayers.
