No matter where you end up and who you become, you should never forget your roots. The former U.S. president Barack Obama knows it, and he has recently proven that he cares about his heritage during his latest visit to Kenya.
Obama’s father was Kenyan, and Obama himself has close ties to this country. Many of his relatives, including his half-sister and paternal grandmother, live there in a small village called Kogelo.
During his first post-presidential visit to his father’s home country, Obama met with Uhuru Kenyatta, President of Kenya. The former U.S. president commended him and opposition leader Raila Odinga for working together for the good of their country.
Obama also visited his family in Kogelo and took part in the opening ceremony at a sports training center, which has been founded by his half-sister, Auma Obama.
At the ceremony, people saw what they love most in this man: his lightheartedness. Obama was sitting between his grandmother and half-sister, listening to a traditional tune. But he just couldn’t sit straight for too long; Obama got up and showed off his dance moves, much to the audience’s delight and amusement.
Here are some of the reactions on Twitter:

People totally loved his little dance!
Obama was also seen showing his basketball skills. Local children watched in fascination how former U.S. president threw a ball, and it went straight into the basket.
This is exactly what makes Barack Obama so endearing: his openness and easy-going manner. Can you imagine our current president dancing like this?
