Meghan Markle's Healthy Lifestyle: How She Manages To Stay Healthy And In Perfect Shape

It seems that there are no secrets left for Meghan Markle, 36, as her persona has been thoroughly investigated by almost every journalist out there. With the wedding day knocking on the door, the Californian actress shines brightly as ever. So, what’s her secret to such a compelling look? The answer is simple: be smart and lead a reasonable healthy lifestyle.

Meghan is beautiful, her body is in perfect shape, and she feels absolutely healthy. How does she manage to keep it this way with all the stress accompanying the process of becoming the new member of the British royal family?

1. Reset the brain.

Meditation is a perfect way of diminishing a negative effect of everyday stress. The process of relaxation comes in different forms. For some people, it may be chilling in their bed; for others, it may be reading a good book. However, Meghan Markle prefers running, and her advice is to find the form that suits you:

Running has always been my form of moving meditation, which I relish because it allows me to get out of my head.

2. Natural sources of energy.

Meghan is convinced that trying to go for a cup of coffee every time a person feels tired only hurts them in the end. She is a fan of green juices.

I like to get a really good natural source of energy like a great green juice, something that just gets right into your system and is a nice pick-me-up.

Important note: It is recommended to drink no more than 8.5 oz (250 ml) of green juice per day. Also, do not drink it on an empty stomach, as it can irritate the gastric mucosa.

3. Practice yoga.

The former Suits actress absolutely loves practicing yoga. Meghan’s mom was a yoga instructor, so that’s definitely in her blood.

I love an intense vinyasa class - and even better if its blasting hip-hop and done in a dark room with candlelight. The best!

Important note: Make sure that the candles are natural and don’t contain any chemical supplements.

4. Make time for yourself.

It is incredibly important to give yourself a break once in a while to make things balanced. Meghan clearly understands that:

I give myself the luxury of downtime. We are all so incredibly busy and juggling so many things but I always take an hour to just decompress, watch mindless TV, snuggle with my dogs.

5. The right kind of food.

The value of a healthy diet cannot be underestimated. We are what we eat, aren’t we? That’s why Meghan tries to avoid eating any food that makes her sluggish and can harm her well-being.

I definitely try to eat as clean as possible. I definitely just try to avoid the things that I know are going to make me feel lethargic or sluggish.

6. Balance desire and discipline.

Although overall Meghan tries to eat only healthy and clean food, she understands that it is pointless to fight your desire all the time. She believes that only a compromise can lead to a healthy mind and body. Therefore, she allows herself a food party during the weekends:

On the weekends all bets are off, I think if you deprive yourself of anything you're just going to crave it more, so for me it's just finding that balance. Eating really good during the week and then treating yourself to whatever it is that you want over the weekend.

7. Self-motivation.

Meghan often works out on her own, which definitely requires a lot of discipline. However, if you can self-motivate, you can become better each day. Meghan tries to focus on the feeling she gets after her workout.

My health, my state of mind, the feeling you have after a workout; all of this things drive me to step onto my mat or go to the gym. Sometimes the idea of working out sounds absolutely dreadful, but I always remind myself of how good it will feel afterward. Euphoric, almost!

Overall, we can see how a person can create an inner balance and harmony in order to maintain their mind and body healthy. Meghan does great in that department, and we think she will be an awesome wife and mother one day.
