Prince Harry Spends Valentines' Day In An Igloo Decorated With Pictures Taken On His Wedding Day

Date February 15, 2019 12:53

While the rest of the world was enjoying a romantic Valentine's Day with their beloved, the Duke of Sussex was spending time in a special shrine.

One of the downsides of being a royal is that duty calls at any time. So instead of spending his first February 14 as a married man with his wife, Prince Harry was on duty. But from the looks of things, it didn't seem like he minded that much.

As part of Harry's duties as Captain General of the Royal Marines, the Duke visited Bardufoss, Norway. While there, he toured the base where military personnel told him all about the training that takes place there.

The group soon arrived at the Quincey Shelter, a famous igloo on the base. It seemed like Harry's hosts suspected that he might be missing out on the Valentine fun because they had a special Meghan-themed surprise for him.

The igloo was decorated with two beautiful pictures taken from Harry and Meghan's wedding. To make the setting even more romantic, there were lit candles and a romantic soundtrack in the background. Apparently, the only thing missing was Harry's beloved.

The Duke seemed to be quite thrilled by the surprise. His face broke into a grin as he walked in and saw the whole set-up. In a video posted on Twitter, you can see him chuckling as he admired all that they had arranged for him. It was pretty clear that he appreciated the gesture.

Prince Harry probably missed having Meghan Markle by his side on this trip, especially on Valentine's Day. The good news is that, in a few days, when he takes his next trip to Morocco, Meghan will be by his side the whole time.
