The year of Cher
Her success this year began with a phenomenal cameo in the recently released fan favourite, Mamma Mia! 2. The singer and her perfect wigs joined the cast for a sequel starring Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, and more.
Despite the stellar cast, 'Cher effect' still got to a few people on set. Amanda Seyfried, specifically, confessed to being starstruck when she met the singer. In fact, when she found out Cher was going to be her grandmother, she cried.
Why she's the only woman who can survive an apocalypse
We get the feeling, Amanda Seyfried! If we had a chance to share the screen with Cher, we would probably dissolve in a puddle of excitement!
But, clearly, Cher doesn't let all this adoration slow her down. She may be the diva, but she’s a hardworking one. Her ABBA cover album is out and blowing up. And she’s got a new musical set to open on Broadway by the end of the year, called The Cher Show.
In her recent interview, she aptly joked, “When the world comes to an end, there will only be cockroaches and Cher!”. Well, it’s not that hard to imagine a world with just Cher in it. What we've got some trouble picturing, are the cockroaches! Thoughts?
