In the recent interview, Teigen opened up about what helped her to avoid postpartum depression this time and for some people, it might be a bit gross.

A tell-all interview

In the interview with CBS’s Rita Braver, Teigen talked about her decision to go public about her personal problems. She commented:

I think people on social media are my friends. And I think they deserved to know. I don't know, is that so weird?

The supermodel says she got through the hurdles thanks to her husband’s support and with the aid of antidepressants. But there is something she believes helped her to avoid postpartum depression when she gave birth to her second child, and that is eating her own placenta.

Shocked Braver commented:

I don't think I can have you eating your placenta on primetime.

To which Teigen answered laughing:

Really? That's not a normal thing? I'm in L.A., it's very normal. They grill it here! You can try some of mine after.

People’s reaction to Teigen’s words

The mom-of-two is considered to be a positive influencer. She claims she is not worried about her weight anymore and prefers to be healthy and happy, rather than looking good in a swimsuit. And it is something that many girls struggling with low self-esteem need to hear.
