However, as the show came to an end, the couple welcomed the fifth addition to their family. Baby Crew was born in summer 2018 and completely changed the life of his parents and siblings, but how?

New baby, new life

Chip and Joanna Gaines love making traditions with their family. To this day, they’ve got loads of little rituals they like to follow with their kids. However, many things have changed when the new baby arrived.

The Gaines family used to spend the final day of the week at their farmhouse in Texas together. Chip and Joanna say that the children are turning into homebodies, just like their parents. The proud mom admitted:

But raising 5 kids is never an easy task and it can be difficult to find some peace and quiet. However, when little Crew joined the family, Joanna noticed how its dynamic changed. She says that she feels like their life has started moving at a slower pace.

Since bringing home Crew, I’ve noticed that none of us are in a hurry to be anywhere but there. For Chip and me, there’s nothing sweeter than that.

While for many families, more kids might mean more noise and craziness, it seems that for the Gaines clan it turned out to be the complete opposite.

On Christmas, Baby Crew met Santa for the very first time and he acted like the calmest, coolest baby in the world!

Perhaps, his chill vibes are affecting his siblings as well, which is something that Joanna and Chip are probably very thankful for.
