Legendary comeback

After thirty years of 'break', in 2017, ABC ordered the ninth season of 'Roseanne', the 35th place in TV Guide’s 50 Greatest TV Shows of All Time.

John Goodman, Roseanne Barr's on-screen husband, attended Jimmy Kimmel Show to give a rare confession about the sitcom and its difficulties after Barr was fired for her racist tweet to Barack Obama's aide. Goodman, who started acting in the spin-off 'The Conners', conceded:

I thought, 'OK, I'll be a big boy and handle this.' And I just crashed for a couple of weeks.

The actor defended Barr from the beginning, and he was shattered about her departure. Goodman was out of words since he was restricted with giving full answers, though he added:

She is missed, definitely. Same family minus mom.

Controversy

John Goodman stated that Roseanne Barr had given a fresh start to the show. They had a spectacular year acting together and relived  flashbacks and past moments they all shared on the screen. After the conflict with Barr, the audience split into two camps: those who blamed her for being "racist bigot" and those who were still happy about the show's renewal.

The end of the era

Goodman confirmed about the Roseanne departure from the show preferring to leave out some ins and outs. He sadly claimed:

You have to wait till next week. They don't like me talking about it...

Barr was supposed to die from an opioid overdose. Yes, die from something ridiculous after 10 years of being an epic actress, character, and woman. Roseanne was distressed and offended at how she was treated after bringing so many awards, emotions, and talent in one show.

Goodman said that she would be probably killed as she explained before, but he tried to avoid any controversy or problem. Maybe words aren't enough to describe their sorrow and pain, but everything can be read in the eyes and soul.
