Senator John McCain died on August 25, after the battle with brain cancer. He was 81 years old. Doctors diagnosed McCain with glioblastoma in 2017, and he has been receiving treatment for the condition. However, on August 24, his family announced that McCain was going off medical care.

Americans continue to pay their respects to the war veteran who, in his time as a senator, worked actively in favor of national interests.

The late senator will lie in state at the U.S. Capitol on Friday this week. Then, a memorial service will be held in his honor at the National Cathedral. His body will eventually be laid to rest at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, on September 2. We commiserate with all the Americans, and pray for the family of the late senator to find comfort in this time of great loss.
