Welcome To Ireland! Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Were Greeted With Open Arms By The President Michael D. Higgins

This week, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are on their first official trip to Ireland. It's a very exciting visit as the royal couple has a lot on their plate.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle already had fun at the residence of the British Ambassador in Ireland, who threw them a wonderful garden party, and met with adorable young footballers at the local stadium in Dublin. The public was very excited to see the Duke and Duchess out and about in Ireland, they even waited under rain just to catch a glimpse of beloved royals. 


Most importantly, however, Harry and Meghan met with the Ireland's first couple – Michael D. Higgins and Sabina Coyne.

The warmest of welcomes

President Higgins welcomed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at his residence on the second day of their visit.


The first couple was visibly extremely friendly and greeted the royal couple with warm smiles. Even their dogs were happy to see Harry and Meghan and gladly accepted some petting from them.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex looked very comfortable and excited about their visit. It's no surprise, considering what a warm welcome they've been receiving so far.
