We certainly sympathize with Serena. As a new mom, she wants to be around for her girl's every moment, but her career requires time as well.
Social media users rushed to support Williams and reassure her that there will be many more important moments in Alexis' life.
Ah Serena. I’m with you there. I’m in Russia at a World Cup. I watched mine take her first steps on a video 😓 she’ll be proud of you when she goes up (I have to keep telling myself)— Alison Bender (@alibendertv) 7 июля 2018 г.
they will. They notice. When mine was 3 y/o I had to go for 12 days to China on business. Heart broken. When I came back, I was told she was telling everyone very proudly. She's 8 now and she still does. Somehow, she feels the battles I fight.— Krika (@krika_ra) 8 июля 2018 г.
Same. I remember my mom's trips, the toy cars she bought me from the Amsterdam airport when she was away for my birthday are still my favourite gifts. Neither of us remember my first steps, but the lessons I learned from the way she lives life are so appreciated— Kashif Pasta (@KashifPasta) 8 июля 2018 г.
Keep your head up, Serena!
