Singing with his sons

The old romantic crooner teamed up with his sons to give the performance of a lifetime and of course, they sang the fan favorite, Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain. This beautiful song was written by songwriter Fred Rose. Originally it was performed by Roy Acuff, but many artists have covered it. One of the most famous ones was made by Willie Nelson. The song became really iconic in country music history. Moreover, it helped Willie Nelson became a famous singer and recording artist.

They did a little reminiscing before their beautiful rendition of the classic song 1975 hit. Lucas revealed that the first song he ever learned from his father was Blue Eyes.

Fans got emotional

It's no surprise then that he sounds exactly like his father. In fact, without watching perform the song together, it would be easy to assume that it was Willie singing the whole time. Here are how people on the Internet reacted.

And although Willie did not show any obvious emotion, it's clear to see he's proud of his youngest sons Lucas and Micah following in his footsteps. Who wouldn't!

Willie is one proud dad

The trio has toured together in the past and has an album together. In a 2017, Rolling Stone mini-documentary, the singer revealed that he had spent years worrying about leaving his kids behind while he was touring.

Clearly, things worked out alright in the end and his absence did not ruin their lives. What's more, they've got their own singing career and are doing really great. Thoughts?
