Date July 16, 2018

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge treated their fans with stunning official portraits from the christening of their third child, Prince Louis. The youngest Prince of Cambridge was christened at the Chapel Royal on Monday, July 9.

On the photographs, the family looks happy and delighted as the proud mom is gently holding her sleeping son in her arms. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla, as well as the Middleton family, were amongst the lucky attendees.

But many people wondered who made those beautiful photographs? As it turned out, you might have seen his works before!

The talented photographer

It is a common notion that the Duchess of Cambridge likes to take photos of her children herself, as photography is one of her many hobbies. But when it comes to official events, she relies on professional help.

This time, the royal parents asked Matt Holyoak to do the honor. It wasn’t the first time the photographer captured smiling royals. Last year, he took photographs of the Queen and Prince Philip for their 70th wedding anniversary.

Holyoak is not your regular photographer. He is one of the leaders in his field. His works can be seen in The National Portrait Galley’s permanent collection.
