The Baby’s Name

Zara and Mike’s second child and the Queen’s seventh great-grandchild entered this world on June 18. The royal couple gave their daughter quite an unusual name - Lena Elizabeth.

Just like with their first daughter, 4-year-old Mia Grace, the parents-of-two decided to mix modern and traditional names. It’s a good contrast to Prince William and Kate’s children’s very regal names.

Zara and Mike like to step away from usual and go more unconventional road when it comes to naming their kids. Baby Lena - pronounced as Lay-na - shares the middle name with her cousin Princess Charlotte. Both girls were named after the Queen.
