Why Royal Watchers Won't See Official Photos From Prince George's First Day At School This Year

It’s September, which means that Prince George will soon start Year One at Thomas’s Battersea. The 5-year-old will meet a new teacher and will be introduced to new subjects, including Science and History, which must be pretty scary.
Are you excited to see the photos of the young royal on his first day of Year One? Unfortunately, it’s unlikely there will be any official pictures.
Last year, photographers and press were invited for the boy’s first day of Reception. This year, however, is different. As Emily Nash, royal correspondent, explained:
Prince George's time at school is private and although the Duke and Duchess shared an image from his first day at primary school last year, they won't do it every year.
This might be a royal tradition to only take photos of children on their very first day of school, as there weren’t too many photos of brothers Prince Harry and Prince William when they were schoolboys. This might also mean there won’t be official portraits of George's sister Princess Charlotte arriving at her nursery this fall.
The royal cuteness started her education in January 2018 and, surprisingly, it was not the same school as her big brother is enrolled in. The girl goes to Willcocks Nursery School, which is only a short walking distance from Kensington Palace, where she lives with her parents.
We hope, Prince George will have a good first day starting Year One! Last year, he looked adorably shy when arriving at school. This time, it shouldn’t be as scary!
