23-Month-Old Alfie Evans Has Passed Away. His Devastated Parents Announced The Tragic News On Social Media
23-month-old Alfie Evans, the boy with a rare brain disease who won people’s hearts around the world, has passed away on Saturday, April 28, five days after being taken off life support.

Last week, we reported that Alfie Evans’ parents were rejected to take their ill son to Rome for treatment after the court hearing. The High Court explained it would be pointless to maintain Alfie’s life, as there was no hope left for him.
Judge Hayden told the desperate parents the soonest they could move Alfie home would be three to five days.
The 23-month-old boy passed away on Saturday, five days after being taken off life support. His father, Thomas Evans, announced the sad news on Alfie’s official Facebook page. He wrote:
My gladiator lay down his shield and gained his wings at 02:30. Absolutely heartbroken. I LOVE YOU, MY GUY.
After hearing the tragic news, a lot of social media users expressed their condolences to the parents. Pope Francis, who was a big supporter of Alfie Evans, wrote he was deeply moved by the death of the little boy and would keep praying for his family.
