In a new bombshell interview with ABC, the world-famous singer Ricky Martin said he wishes his two kids were gay as his own coming out was the best thing he's ever done in his life.

In his interview with Peter Travers on ABC’s Popcorn, Ricky Martin spoke about the positive impact coming out had on his life.

In case you missed it, the singer opened up he was gay in 2010, and two years earlier, he had welcomed twins via a surrogate.

Martin confessed his decision to reveal his sexual identity was the hardest thing he's made in his life, but now, he has no regrets. The star told during his talk with Peter Travers:

That moment when I wrote the coming out letter and pressed send, the freedom, the feeling of liberation was so powerful. I wish I could come out again because it just felt amazing.

Ricky added the one thing he regrets is that he didn’t tell the truth earlier.

“I wish they were gay”

Speaking of his twins, Matteo and Valentino, Ricky Martin said he wishes they were gay when growing up.

I don’t know, my kids are too young, but I wish they were gay. It is a very special thing. It’s just real. Everything is tangible. It makes me a stronger person.

Ricky added he is a “fortunate homosexual man” because he has a loving husband and a happy family. Since 2011, the singer was dating a Swedish painter, Jwan Yosef. In 2016, the lovebirds got engaged, and two years later, they officially married.

Today, Ricky Martin calls himself a lucky man who has finally found the inner peace and happiness after years of living in the darkness.
