A popular sitcom Roseanne is among 2018 Emmy Awards nominees. One of its leading actresses received a nomination for her role in the now-canceled show. Oh, and it wasn't Roseanne Barr.

‘Roseanne’ was nominated for Emmy 2018

We have some great news for all Roseanne fans! Your favorite show received an Emmy nomination for acting.

Laurie Metcalf, who plays Roseanne Connor’s sister, Jackie, was nominated for Best Supporting Actress this year.


Metcalf has won the award three times to date. The actress has also been nominated for Oscar and Tony awards for her work in other projects.

It is noteworthy that Laurie is the only one from the whole Roseanne cast to be nominated for Emmy's after the official cancelation of the show a couple of months ago.

ABC has since announced the Roseanne spin-off titled The Connors to be in the works, but without Mrs. Barr in the cast.
