Frank Parker, a veteran soap opera actor, died on September 16 but the news about his sad demise wasn’t revealed until now.
Frank passed away due to complications of Parkinson’s disease. He was 79. In his obituary, the actor was described as “a person who touched many lives and was loved by everyone.”
Parker was best-known for his iconic roles in the popular soap operas General Hospital and The Young and the Restless. But of course, he was loved by millions for playing the role of Grandpa Shawn Brady on Days of Our Lives. Frank devoted 25 years to his character.
Parker retired from acting 10 years ago after his health saw a decline due to dementia and Parkinson’s disease.
