Monaco’s royal family has just announced some great news. Pierre Casiraghi, a grandchild of Princess Grace Kelly, and his wife, Beatrice Borromeo, welcomed a baby boy.

Congratulations to the royal family!

While the whole world had been watching the fairytale wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, another royal family also had something to celebrate. Monaco’s royals grew by one family member.

On Monday, Pierre Casiraghi and Beatrice Borromeo welcomed a baby boy. He is the couple’s second child. The proud parents chose a classic Italian name for the newcomer: Francesco Carlo Albert.

Pierre Casiraghi is the son of Princess Caroline and the grandson of late Grace Kelly, Princess of Monaco.

Pierre and Beatrice tied the knot in 2015 with two wedding ceremonies instead of one. Their first son Stefano was born two years later. Earlier this year, the royals announced they were expecting their second baby.

It looks like there is some kind of ‘baby boom’ among royals this year. First, Prince William and Kate Middleton welcomed their third child in April. Then, Pierre Casiraghi and Beatrice Borromeo became parents for the second time. Who’s next? Maybe, the newlyweds Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will follow their footsteps.

Our best wishes to Monaco’s royal family! Welcome to the big world, little Francesco!
