Oprah Winfrey has been in a happy and lasting relationship with Stedman Graham for more than 30 years, but the couple still doesn’t hurry up to exchange their wedding vows. Oprah explains she has her reasons why she doesn’t want to get married.

For more than 30 years, Winfrey has been in relationships with her partner, Stedman Graham. The couple could already celebrate a silver wedding in case they would decide to make it all official. 

Despite their couple is considered as a role model among other celebrities, the lovebirds don’t have wedding bells in their future plans.

Why Oprah doesn’t want to get married

In an interview with Vogue, Winfrey confessed she got used to hearing this question multiple times. The star always has the same answer: “What’s the point?!”

Nobody believes it, but it’s true. When I asked myself ‘What would have happened if we had actually gotten married?’ And the answer is: 'We wouldn’t be together.'


Oprah said Stedman totally supports her decision. The host added they are both happy in their current relationship and do not want to change anything.

What I realized is, I don’t want to be married. I just don’t want to change the life that I created for myself.
