Sarah married the Queen’s son, Prince Andrew, in 1986 in a lavish ceremony that took place in 1986. But “the happy ever after” wasn’t their story, as the couple split up 10 years later, making Fergie the most famous royal divorcee.


Now, 22 years have passed since the divorce, which left many people to wonder how much is the Duchess of York worth in her own right?

Sarah Ferguson is well-known for her charity and humanitarian work. Since the divorce, she kept her name in the public eye, becoming a writer, charity patron, public speaker, film producer, and TV personality.


Her celebrity status helped her collaborate with many brands, including cosmetics giant Avon, British fine china and porcelain company, and Weight Watchers. Sarah has also written various books for children as well as her own autobiographies.

Despite their separation, Prince Andrew and Sarah remained friends and in 2015, they even purchased a £13 million chalet together which is located in Verbier, Switzerland.


In 2010, there have been rumors of the Duchess’ debts, owing too many sums in unpaid legal fees. She narrowly escaped bankruptcy in 2011 with the intervention of her ex-husband.

But it seems that now, she is doing very well. Sarah’s two daughters, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice, are following in her footsteps as both of them have full-time jobs.
