Many of them enjoyed the beautiful ceremony but noticed one strange thing – the wedding guests seemed to have a giggle fits during the ceremony.

The mystery behind those curious giggles - mainly seen as Harry and Meghan said "I will" - has finally been revealed, thanks to the bride’s longtime friend, actress Janina Gavankar, who was one of the guests.

When the Archbishop of Canterbury asked:

Harry, will you take Meghan to be your wife? Will you love her, comfort her, honor and protect her, and, forsaking all others, be faithful to her as long as you both shall live?

And Harry answered:

I will.

His response was accompanied by many giggles and smiles from those who were watching the pair becoming husband and wife. The reaction was similar when Meghan repeated the affirmation.

Janina Gavankar opened up in an interview just a few days after the wedding, revealing that the reason for those giggles was the 1,200 members of the public, who stood on the grounds at Windsor Castle. They were selected for being outstanding members of their community.

One thing that made many of us giggle was that we could hear the wonderful people outside. When the vows were happening, they would cheer, and we could hear them. It was a very quiet chapel. We all followed the Queen’s lead. But we could hear everyone cheer and it was so heartwarming. Really, it filled our hearts.

Even though Gavankar enjoyed the wedding, she had a little freak out after receiving the invitation. The 37-year-old True Blood star struggled to find a designer for the royal wedding outfit. When she eventually found a gorgeous vintage dress, she posted on Instagram to share her struggles.

I reached out to designers and showrooms. No one was responsive. Luckily, @westerncostumecompany generously opened the doors to their private vintage archive, and we chose this 1930’s dress and 1940s hat.

She looked gorgeous in her outfit, didn’t she?
