Being a celebrity kid is kind of cool, but being a grandchild is even much better! Or at least, that's what Elizabeth Carson, granddaughter to her namesake, Elizabeth Taylor, states.
Flashbacks and legacy
Carson lovingly talked about her grandmother remembering all the great things they have done and shared together. She went on telling how they spent a fantastic downtime in the Dominican Republic and had this invariably bond.
The legendary actress even did her hair and makeup for the prom!
For my Junior and Senior prom, she did my hair and makeup. Once, while we were discussing makeup, I told her we should go to Sephora, which turned out to be a terrible idea. We had fun for the first 15 minutes, but then she was recognized, and we quickly had to be escorted out.
But that's not the only thing that bemused Carson. There's so much more! Taylor was a loving mother and caring grandmother, and it was the most significant for her.
Elizabeth told that the most incredible legacy is her grandmother's humanitarian work.
She always stood up for what was right. I work for the Department of Child Protection in Manhattan. I'm doing social work. And I'm also an Ambassador for the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation, along with my cousins.
Ultimately, E. Taylor gave so many life lessons and examples how to be a decent person that E. Carson is implementing all of this into her own life.
Whereas the entire world lost Elizabeth Taylor as the most beautiful woman, Oscar-winner, and an activist, her 10 grandchildren lost their granny. One of her grandkid, Naomi deLuce Wilding, shared her memories about her grandmother.
She was just my grandmother—well, my granny. We were very close, and she had a strong influence on my life.... More than anything, my grandmother gave me confidence. She made me feel like I could do anything.
Naomi conceded that her granny had a significant influence on her, not only in humanity but also in the career path. She decided to study design in New York because of Taylor's fashion taste.
Though later deLuce Wilding moved to L.A. to her grandmom after some unfavorable events. There she decided to pursue styling career.
But it's from her that I learned that fashion is for play.
Isn't it just great to have a someone special like Elizabeth Taylor? A person who gave all her love to children and grandkids no matter her pain and hardships?
So, what's the masterclass tips?
There's no question that Elizabeth Taylor was cocky, but a beautiful woman at any age. Her daughters and grandchildren inherited a bunch of beauty tips which they are still using today.
- Smoky eye.
- Fringed with ultra-thick double lashes.
- Highly arched and expertly penciled eyebrows.
- Red glossy lipstick.
She was "more like a smoky eye, something big and sparkly, and a great sense of humor."
There's nothing more amazing than having a connection with your family members - entirely in everything. Elizabeth Taylor will be remembered not only as the talented woman and incredible activist but also as a stylish granny who gave the world to her grandkids.
