Although many critics and fans agreed that Gaga deserved the Golden Globe award for her role, we all had to witness her lose to Glenn Close, who came out on top at the ceremony and took home the coveted Best Actress title. Needless to say, social media was less than happy about this outcome.

But things took a different turn at the Critics Choice Awards this Sunday, and Lady Gaga is finally a winner.

Emotional win

Critics Choice Awards 2019 took place just a week after the Golden Globes, and they crowned the 32-year-old star as the Best Actress of last year. Gaga was gobsmacked by her win and immediately broke down crying.

She proceeded to deliver a heartfelt speech thanking her colleagues and close ones who supported her through this journey. Gaga still had a hard time holding back her tears, but it didn't hurt her speech one bit.

We could all feel the pure happiness Lady Gaga felt at that moment and we're overjoyed over her well-deserved win!

In addition, Glenn Close was there to support the famous singer turned actress and posed with her for some incredibly tender pictures. Despite going head-to-head in the same category, the two ladies seem to have a lovely and supportive relationship.
