While appearing at the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Sally Field was asked by the host whether she was dating Johnny Carson. While remembering that times there was constantly a smile on her face, and it is evident they had an awesome time together.
Sally Field added that actually, it was not just one date but more, as it was very hard to refuse.
I was never a person that knew how to say no to people. I mean, when it came down to other things... but ultimately the way I could get out of things is to tell people I lost my mind.
Sally Field also revealed she broke up with Johnny Carson by faking a breakdown. And it seems that those trick worked.
I think with Johnny I told him I was having a breakdown and was being sent away. I couldn't figure out how just to say, "I'm really just not into this, it's not what I want." I just said, "I'm so sorry, I gotta go away, they're going to put me in a home."
By the way, Sally appeared on Johnny Carson's show in 1979. At that time, she was in a relationship with Burt Reynolds.
Johnny Carson, who hosted The Tonight Show for 30 years, unfortunately, passed away back in 2005 at the age of 79. He was such a talented television host, and is still remembered by so many people!
