She battled with cerebellar agenesis

She was born with the condition in which a brain develops without the cerebellum, thus making it impossible for her to walk, talk and eat. Demi-Leigh admits;

She is my biggest motivator and inspiration, because her situation makes me realize how special life is.

Franje dies at age 13

Despite the situation, the former Miss Universe and her fiance had seen Franje's condition as a challenge they wouldn't be overwhelmed by, due to the grace of God.

And not that it's easy, but we can get through it with the right perspective. Understanding that God's always at work in our lives and the good and the bad...He can use all of it.
