Royal fashion code

For years, the monarch has not deviated from her bright colored coats, pastel gowns, flowery fabrics, and black formal shoes and bags.

June Kenton who is in charge of fitting the Queen for her corsetiere - unmentionables - told Glamour Magazine why it is rare to catch her royal client with a colored shoe or bag.

She can't start thinking, 'What am I going to wear with cream? What am I going to wear with pale blue and dark blue?' She just wears black," Kenton said.

But, the Queen herself has broken that unwritten rule. She ditched her favorite Anello & Davide black shoe for silver heels and bags at the 2018 Order of the Garter service at Windsor Castle.

The cute strappy heels stood out even though she was bedecked in ceremonial robes and gold pieces. We dare say the 92-year-old monarch is letting the bold style of her new granddaughter-in-law, Meghan Markle, influence her own one.
