Remember the perfect decorations in 2017?

Last year. she got rave mostly reviews for her breathtaking snow-themed trees with reams of gold, silver and blue. Definitely a traditional First Lady, her choice was absolute perfection.

Worlds apart from Michelle Obama's fun and kid-friendly Lego "gingerbread" houses and snowman statues, it was refreshingly different and it worked.

What went wrong this year?

This year, however, Melania has everyone screaming what the hell happened?

The theme this year was an almost creepy interpretation of American Treasures.

The White House explained why they had chosen a lot of reds in a statement.

The choice of red is an extension of the pales, or stripes, found in the presidential seal designed by our Founding Fathers. It’s a symbol of valor and bravery.

But online, the verdict is the same. People hate it.

One Twitter user called it a "Massive Blood Sacrifice to Santa." Eish. Clearly, Melania Trump is not over Halloween just yet.
