Tim Allen Finally Addresses Roseanne Barr's Firing And Political Correctness: Who Makes Up These Rules Anyway?

Friends of Roseanne Barr are getting bold enough to speak up on her behalf as the shock of her racist tweet and subsequent firing from her show cools off.

Roseanne backtracks

Recall that Barr tweeted the following in May: "muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj", referring to a former Obama official, Valerie Jarrett.

At the time, she apologized for the racist connotation of her tweet, but when she appeared on Sean Hannity’s Fox show, she backtracked and said it was not racist. She claims she'd simply sent out a political tweet.

And now, comedian Tim Allen is coming to her defence as well. When asked about Barr’s firing, the Last Man Standing star said, “You know, I go way back with Rosie and that’s not the Roseanne I know.”

He was speaking at the 2018 Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour. Fox News reports that Allen questioned political correctness. Who makes up these rules anyway, he said, and suggested that a conversation about pc culture had become necessary.

Can she make a comeback?

Although, Barr keeps insisting that she did not know Valerie Jarrett was African American, she claims she’s been getting a lot of job offers since her show was cancelled.


She told Rabbi Schmuley Boteach on his podcast that she was already considering a really good offer to go back to TV. Do you think she can repeat the magic of a successful comeback?
